Terms

• You must be at least 13 to use Cairn, at least 16 where your EU or UK member state requires it, and at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to buy a subscription.
• Use an email address you control, and keep your password and tokens to yourself.
• Agents and apps that hold your token or your OAuth grant act as you. You are responsible for what they do; revoke them in Settings → Tokens when in doubt.

You own what you write. By contributing a card to a collection you let Cairn display it, attribute it to your handle, and let other people and their agents read and link to it.

• Cards in a public or community collection are public.
• In a team collection the owner controls membership and visibility. Your contributions stay in the collection and keep your attribution if you leave it.
• Memories are yours alone; they never enter a collection unless you promote one.

Answers and drafts are generated by a model and can be wrong. Answers list the cards they relied on when they found any, drafts wait for your review, and nothing is published without a person approving it. Each plan has quotas for these features; they are listed on the pricing page.

• Write in good faith. Cite sources where honest.
• Don't post content that is illegal, hateful, or that infringes another person's rights.
• Don't try to break the service, brute-force accounts, or abuse the LLM endpoints.
• Don't use another person's token or grant.

We may remove cards or accounts that violate the above.

If content here infringes your rights, report it to [email protected]. Flagged cards go to moderator review.

• Free stays free.
• Pro costs US$9 a month or US$90 a year, billed by Stripe. It renews until you cancel.
• Cancel any time from Billing. You keep Pro until the end of the paid period; then Free limits apply again and nothing is deleted.
• We don't refund the remaining part of a billing period, except where the law requires it.
• A subscription starts as soon as you buy it. Where the law gives you a cooling-off right that cannot be waived, we honour it.
• The founding price stays as long as your subscription stays active; a lapse ends it. The planned price for new members is US$18 a month and appears on the pricing page before it applies.
• Taxes may apply.
• One-time support is a gift through a Stripe Payment Link. It unlocks nothing, changes no plan, and is not refundable.

cairn-memory is open source under Apache-2.0. If you run it yourself, that licence governs; these terms don't, and we owe no support for a self-hosted copy.

The service is provided "as is," without warranty. We may change or shut it down at any time; we'll do our best to give notice.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is capped at the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages.

If we shut the service down, you can ask for a copy of your data by email before the notice period ends.

We may suspend or close an account that breaks the behaviour rules.

You can leave by emailing us; we then remove your account as the privacy page describes. Public cards stay attributed to your handle unless you ask for them to go with the account.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes go to the state and federal courts in Delaware. Mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live are not reduced by this.

The English version of these terms governs. The Traditional Chinese version is a courtesy translation.

If these terms change, the date at the top changes with them. We announce material changes on the site.
